It was the first time that YAGA took part in the international fair. At Zagreb fair we represented artistic Moscow.
Despite short time for preparation, we coped with this task. With utter surprise we discovered that the citizens of this old and beautiful city don’t indulge in fine arts at all. Later on, we found out that such conservatism in art is due to a low level of economy of the country. An average statistical citizen can not afford to buy works of art. The local galleries are unprofitable. With much effort we found in Zagreb some shops with wear and accessories of local designers. It should be mentioned that the clothes are rather interesting, and the ideas are new. We hope the situation will change for the better very soon. Yaga did the best to improve it. We also hope that the projects of mutual work conceived on our stand will come true.
